Equipment Requirements | Appliances must meet ENERGY STAR requirements. Heat Pump must have minimum rating of 9.0 HSPF, 14 SEER. Windows must be installed after the energy audit. Homes and equipment must meet Energy Star or other specific standards. See website for more information. |
Midstate Electric Cooperative (MEC) offers its residential customers a variety of rebates for energy efficient improvements and new energy efficient homes. Rebates are awarded for the installation of energy efficient appliances including washer/dryer combinations, heat pumps and heat pump water heaters. Rebates also are provided for weatherization measures including the installation of insulation and energy efficient windows. Additional incentives are offered for manufactured homes which are Energy Star certified. Additionally, MEC offers a free energy audit for residential and commercial customers to educate them on ways to save energy and money in their homes/businesses.
