First Energy as a parent company administers the energy efficiency program for Metropolitan Edition (Met-Ed), Pennsylvania Electric (Penelec), Pennsylvania Power (Penn Power), and West Penn Power.  The program summarizes the most of the programs offered by these utilities, the actual incentives might vary between the electric utilities. 

Energy Efficiency Kit Program: Residential customers of FirstEnergy’s Pennsylvania utilities are eligible to receive an energy efficiency kit. There is no fee for this kit and it will be shipped directly to your home so you can begin saving energy and reduce your utility bill. Request a kit here.

 

Residential Energy Audit Program:

  • A full walk-through of your home with a certified energy auditor
  • Visual inspection for any health or safety concerns
  • A custom energy report with low-cost ways to save energy
  • Air leak testing to identify where you may be wasting energy
  • Energy-saving products (valued at up to $300) installed at no cost
  • Recommendations for home improvements that qualify for rebates
  • Rebate details for air and duct sealing, insulation, windows and more

Appliance Rebate Program: The program offers rebates for  a variety of energy efficiency appliances. There are additional rebates available for Income Eligible customers here.

HVAC & Water Heating: The program offers free tune up of an existing HVAC system that are more than 7 years old. 

WARM Program for Low-Income households: Low income customers of Penn Power can participate in the WARM energy conservation program to make their homes energy efficient. The program is available to both homeowners and renters. The program includes in-home evaluation, specialized energy savings plan, and energy savings items installed in customers home.Check here for program details.
